We have 1 pair of Solomon Island Eclectus Parrots. They are beautiful birds, with the females being crimson with a bluish purple breast and the males being a striking bright green with blue under wings and a candy-corn colored beak. The feathers of an Eclectus are almost like fur rather than feathers of other parrots. They make wonderful pets, and can talk quite well, though not having as large a vocabulary as an Amazon or African Grey.
