Yellow Nape Amazons

We have one pair of Yellow Napes. They are excellent pets, considered by some to be the best talkers of the Amazon Parrots. They are a bit larger than some of the other Amazons. We also 1 baby from this pair that we kept, Gypsy.

Double Yellow Head Amazons

We currently have 1 DYH. They make great pets, love to talk and be the center of attention. Mango doesn't currently have a mate, but we are considering letting her have one soon.

Yellow Crowned Amazons

Probably one of the sweetest of the Amazons. They are small in comparison to the Napes, have a small patch of yellow (with some red flecks as they age) on the crown/top of the head. We have 1 Yellow Crown (nominate), that had a pretty rough time before we took her in. She's a bit handicapped, but doesn't let it slow her down.

Natterer's Amazon
(subspecies of Yellow Crowned)

This subspecies of the Yellow Crown is a bit lighter in color than the nominate species, has a bluish wash over the head, a smaller yellow patch, and is a little larger. Grouchy Bird is what we call him. He had a VERY rough early life before coming to live with us. We love him and interact with him, he talks alot, but he will not let anyone touch him. He can be seen in the Yellow Crown Gallery with Madonna - they are no longer sharing a cage.
